With 35 years of parish ministry, Deacon Ralph Poyo's passionate, humorous, and playful style has captivated adult and teen audiences across the country with the truth of the Gospel of Christ. His style disarms his audiences, and he speaks directly to the issues that plague our efforts in living the Catholic Faith.
The Saving Plan of God – How does one get to heaven? The answer will likely surprise you. In this talk, Dcn. Ralph weaves through the Old and New Testaments in very practical and humorous ways that reveal the saving plan of God. Your faith will grow deeply after hearing this talk!
ADDITIONALLY
11:00-11:45 a.m. – Lunch and childcare check-in (after the 10:00 a.m. Mass)
1:45-2:15 p.m. – Social and Dessert (after the talk)
Spiritual Warfare – What are the things of the world that keep us from God? What did God save us from?By far the most impactful and powerful out of the four talks, Dcn. Ralph will unveil Satan’s tactics as he unpacks the ancient wisdom of the Catholic Church, along with sharing his own personal story and battles in fighting sin, while engaging his audience with helpful visual aids. Don't miss it!
Living in the Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit is the best kept secret of the Catholic Church. He is the third person of the Trinity given to the Church for a specific purpose and very few parishes catechize on the Spirit. This presentation helps participants understand the practical application of the Spirit's anointing needed for growing in God's Kingdom.
Grounded in Discipleship – How do we move forward after the mission is over? Dcn. Ralph will challenge us to get moving in our faith by establishing ourselves in four fundamental disciplines of a Disciple of Jesus Christ. We will also have an explanation of the 6-week small group series we are offering after this night.
Save the date Sunday, Jan. 29 after the 10:00 a.m. Mass! Join us in the Parish Hall for a chance to hear what others got out of the Parish Mission as we share stories of what we took away from the talks! Expect coffee, donuts, heart-felt sharing and good community!
A Parish Mission is a special time when a parish community gathers together to gain further insight into a faith-filled life. Our goal is to FILL THE CHURCH with these talks! Invite your friends, family, and neighbors, especially those open and curious to learning more about their faith. We hope you are moved and inspired to get more involved so that St. Joseph can be "On Fire, Living our Faith Together!"
Open to all those who would like to light a spark in their faith life. This Parish Mission will help lead participants that are new to the faith into a deeper relationship with Christ, but will also challenge the veterans to strive for even deeper levels of faith. ALL are encouraged to come! Recommended for teens and older!
“The Parish Mission that you lead changed my life and saved my relationship with God, my wife and my family! God is so good and it’s awesome to be Catholic!”
